Q-Park's operations aim to make parking easy and problem-free. The development project assessed all the company's operations and personnel-related practices and processes. One development target was, for example, parking enforcement procedures, where human errors easily occur.

Impact 

The development project successfully met the goals of the entire Group's sustainable development program, including improving job satisfaction and occupational safety. Sickness absences decreased by more than 10%, and personnel turnover also decreased. The introduction of handheld computers made parking enforcement more efficient by more than 15%, and the number of errors decreased significantly. Q-Park Services Oy's turnover increased by 50% and operations expanded to new locations as a result of the project.

Tekes' role

The project received funding from Tekes' work organization development. Tekes' involvement lowered the threshold for using external expert assistance, which was of paramount importance for the success of a project that included organizational development and technology implementation.
