Professional boxer Edis Tatli will be able to pursue his dream in front of his home crowd in September. Tatli will step into the ring as a challenger for the WBA World Championship title against Cuban Richar Abril.

Now history is being made: only once before has a Finnish boxer fought for the professional World Championship title. 52 years ago, Pekka Mäki's father Olli was in the ring at the Olympic Stadium, suffering a stoppage loss to Davey Moore. In addition to Olli Mäki, four other Finnish boxers have achieved the European Championship title. Cuban Abril, 31, is defending his title for the second time. He has fought 22 times as a professional and won 18 times.
