Aurinkopaja – Clear processes and the right decisions to support growth

The demand for solar energy is growing, and competition in the industry is intensifying. Aurinkopaja Oy, which specializes in the delivery and installation of solar panel and charging systems, wanted to ensure that its business was developing in the right direction.

"We had strong expertise in the work itself for a long time, but we needed a clearer strategy and operational management to keep the business under control," says the company's founder Vili Kupiainen.

Entrepreneurship requires decisions – but in the right time

The collaboration with Kristian Karimon of Arvorekrok began with a business self-assessment, which reviewed the company's structure, processes and growth challenges. Particularly important was prioritizing the right things at the right time.

"Kristian didn't come to tell you what to do, but helped you realize which things required the most attention. Too often you can't see the forest for the trees - Kristian helped you focus on what's important," Kupiainen describes.

Key development areas were process and resource management, financial management, and business growth planning. "With SuperExcel we were able to monitor development in a concrete way – we could clearly see what was happening and how the company was developing".

A sparring partner who helps you make the right decisions

Thanks to the collaboration, Aurinkopaja was able to identify the most urgent development areas and invest in them first. "First we took care of the most essential things, and now we are moving on to the next stages of development. Marketing, for example, is one of the next steps," Kupiainen says.

Sparring and discussions have been a valuable part of the collaboration. "Often an entrepreneur's calendar is full, and there is no time to stop and think about the development of the business. Kristian helps you make decisions at the right time and in the right order".

There are no shortcuts in entrepreneurship, but with the right tools and sparring, decision-making becomes easier. "This wasn't just planning, we got concrete tools and insights that we have utilized in practice," Kupiainen sums up.

When asked how he would describe the collaboration with Arvoverko, the answer is clear: "An indispensable and very important sparring partner."
